Learn from the king of fades

Rami started with one shop in Coquitlam and built a barbering style of his own over the years. That experience is what he teaches to every barber who works in his shops, and it is what you will learn here.

He teaches beginners and working barbers alike, and he judges the craft as well as teaching it. The school runs out of his Port Coquitlam shop, so everything you learn, you learn in a working barbershop.

Questions and answers

ask before you sign upThe short version. There are more on the questions and answers page, or call and Rami will answer yours himself.

  • Do I need any experience?

No. Basic Shaving, Basic Fading, the two-day Shaving and Fading course and the Complete Barber Course all start from the beginning. Only the Advanced course is meant for barbers already working.

  • Who teaches the courses?

Rami does. He owns Rami's Cut, won Battle of the Barbers in 2013 and 2014, and judged it in 2015.

  • Where is the school?

#112-2540 Shaughnessy St, Port Coquitlam, BC. It shares the address with the Port Coquitlam Rami's Cut, so you train in a working barbershop.

  • Do I need my own tools?

Not for the one, two and three day courses. Rami provides the tools, so you can turn up with nothing. The Complete Barber Course is the exception: you buy your own professional kit for $600 plus GST, because over 150 hours you train on the tools you will keep.

  • What happens after the Complete Barber Course?

The course includes an apprenticeship at Rami's Cut, working with real clients in a real shop.

  • How do I register?

Send the form below or call 604 442 2730. Rami will get back to you about dates and the next step. No payment is taken on this site.
